Sangfroid - The De-escalation Room

Sometimes we all need some time and space but for people with special needs it can be hard to express emotions until they hit breaking point. This wonderful package has been designed as a safe place to go for those who need to de-escalate and calm. Padding covering the walls, door and floor ensures users can’t hurt themselves whilst in the room. Unlike some manufacturers, the mounting points for our wall pads are hidden behind the pads themselves so that all pads sit flush against each other and the walls, without any unsightly or dangerous framework. We also provide more mounting points, along all edges of the wall padding, than some other sensory providers, for added safety and peace of mind. The wall padding measures 72mm deep (60mm of foam, 12mm of supporting timber backing), and stands 2m tall with a tapered top edge to minimise instances of climbing. The floor padding measures 100mm deep (100% reconstituted toughened vinyl-covered foam), which provides the optimum amount of stability underfoot whilst protecting users from falls or when releasing their frustration. The vinyl we use is purposely designed for challenging environments, manufactured from the a UK woven nylon substrate base with a coating of the highest quality plasticised PVC polymer to make it both tough and wipe-clean. It has a tear strength to BS 3424:1982 Part 5: Method B standard.
